It would be a privilege to get to know you

personally, but for now, here is a little bit about me.

I am a proud military daughter and have lived in several places throughout the US - as well as in Mexico City and Rome. For the past 25+ years, l've called San Antonio home. All those moves sparked a lifelong love of travel. I love to explore new places, meet new people and take on new adventures whenever I can.

Spending time outdoors is my happy place. Some of my favorite activities include visiting national parks, going for a hike, swimming, kayaking, soaking up the sun, or sipping tea on my porch watching the sunrise. When I'm not outside, you'll find me spending time with my favorite people - preferably somewhere with great air conditioning! I'm also a fur mom to two cats and a dog, and they completely have my heart!

I am a foodie through and through. I'm always on the hunt for some good queso, BBQ, and pizza. I also love experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. And more often than not, you'll find me with a book in hand - either learning something new, escaping to a fantasy realm, or indulging in a cheesy romance.

So, why am I counselor?

If you've done your research, I'm sure you have heard the stereotype that mental health professionals join this field because of their own lived experiences. For me, that's true. I have sat in deep grief and suffocating loss. I have known the pain of devasting heartbreak and the fear of change I couldn't control. l have unpacked early childhood experiences to better understand who l am as an adult.

I was in therapy as a kid, and guess what? I didn't like it. At a time in my life when I needed support the most, I walked away because it didn't feel like a space made for me. Later in life, it all started to click. I realized I wanted to be the kind of therapist I wish I'd had. Someone who creates a space where people feel truly supported and seen. A space where they can show up with their pain, their fears, their joys, their questions. A space that is being held for them.

That is why I founded ReWild Counseling and Wellness.

The name ReWild Counseling and Wellness comes from the idea of returning to what is natural. Just as wild landscapes regain balance and strength when they are restored, we also have the ability to reconnect with the parts of ourselves that feel hidden, worn down, or forgotten.

In counseling, rewilding means creating space to slow down, rediscover your inner resilience, and grow in ways that feel authentic to you. It’s not about becoming someone different — it’s about finding your way back to the self that feels whole, grounded, and alive. Many people survive by pushing down parts of themselves. ReWild speaks to the possibility of bringing those parts back into the light, making life feel fuller and more whole.
